In the year 20XX...

Earth is embroiled in a musical crisis. All conventional forms of tone and rhythm have grown stale. Desperate for some bip-boom-bap, Earth's scientific elite have constructed a small space probe and launched it into the outer depths of the galaxy in the hope that it will discover a new form of music. What does music sound like in the year 20XX? The answer is up to you, the audience.

Space Rock 20XX is an experimental multiplayer video game that utilizes 96 independent input buttons to emerge the players (the audience!) in a dynamic audiovisual experience. It features real-time graphics and sound through use of OpenGL and SuperCollider.

For more information, read about the first and only performance. It was part of Sonic Celluloid 2004.
